Kevin Hyungmin Lee
Chair of the Board and President
Kevin Lee is the CEO of iOttie Inc, a global company that manufactures mobile accessories. He is the founders of the Give Chances Inc. and led the organization as President since its foundation. In 2011, he took up his nonprofit work to support the people in Honduras for religious reasons, but now he expanded his vision to provide educational opportunities to the children of local low-income immigrant families and to create the chances to grow and share in the community. He was born and raised in Kangwon-do, South Korea and moved to USA in 2001. Mr. Lee has earned his second BA degree in Computer science at Baruch College, CUNY, in New York.
Jimmy Song, J.D.
Jimmy Song has been a licensed attorney for 11+ years in New Jersey and New York and is the owner of the Law Office of Jimmy J. Song, LLC. At first he provided pro bone legal services to Give Chances and later joined as a board member of the organization in 2018. He obtained a Bachelor's degree from NYU for economics and political science in 2000, Master of Science from NYU in Real Estate Finance in 2005, and a Juris Doctor degree from George Washington University Law School in 2007. Jimmy's primary area of law practice is corporate/business law, employment, litigation, bankruptcy, and municipal/criminal defense.
Senior Director of iOttie, Inc
Eric Kang is a Senior Director of iOttie, Inc. a mobile accessory brand headquartered in New York City and one of major sponsoring companies of the Give Chances. He is a graphic designer and has been leading iOttie’s product development process to bring innovation into its consumer products. iOttie has been awarded consecutive CES Innovation Awards for seven consecutive years since 2011. Mr. Kang has joined Give Chances as a director and a founding member and has been one of the most committed supporters of the organization for 7 years. Mr. Kang has his BA degree in Business Communication from Baruch College.
Edward Yun is a specialist in finance and accounting. He is a graduate of Seoul National University (College of Business '82) and MBA of Baruch College, CUNY. He served as the CFO at South Pole (Wicked Fashion Inc.) for 6 years from 2011 to 2017 and worked at several major companies in Korea before he moved to the United States in 1998. He joined the Give Chances as a Board member in January 2019.
Sungbong Kim, Ph.D.
Dr. Sungbong Kim is an educator, education activist and educational psychologist. Dr. Kim joined Give Chances in February 2018 as an Executive Director after working for the Educators Without Borders USA, an NGO that supports educational and human resource development in developing countries since 2014. He is a graduate of Seoul National University with a bachelor's and a master’s degree in education and received his master's and doctor’s degree in educational psychology from Columbia University in 2014. He has a passion to reduce the learning gap between the children of poor and rich families and to develop and provide quality education programs where the children in need can find and pursue their talents, and eventually become life-long independent learners.
